NEIGHBORHOOD: HELL'S KITCHEN

CENTRAL PARK

Central Park is one of those places that make New York such a great place to visit. The huge park, 843 acres, is located in the center of Manhattan and is a 5 minute walk from the VoxCon venue. The park boasts several lakes, theaters, ice rinks, fountains, tennis courts, baseball fields, and playgrounds. It is also home to the Central Park Zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Especially during the weekends, when cars are not allowed into the park, Central Park is a welcome oasis in this hectic city.

BROADWAY and TIMES SQUARE

Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center and neighborhood in Midtown Manhattan. Times Square is sometimes referred to as "The Crossroads of the World", "The Center of the Universe", and the "heart of the world". One of the world's busiest pedestrian areas, it is also the hub of the Broadway Theater District. Broadway and Times Square are just 10 walking minutes from the VoxCon Venue.

ANNABEL PIZZA

This standout in Hell's Kitchen delivers pies with flaky, crisp crusts topped with everything from the classic margherita to duck prosciutto and blueberry chutney. The flavor profiles are mostly unique and inventive, served up in a polished-yet-rustic space. Pastas and braised meat dishes are featured on the menu as well, alongside an extensive collection of craft beers and the requisite cocktails you'd expect of any space worth its salt in both quality cuisine and great atmosphere. It's well worth the 7 minute walk from VoxCon.

HELL'S KITCHEN FLEA MARKET

A staple not only of the neighborhood but the city at large, the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market is not to be missed. Whether you are interested in snacking on some great local bites or in dire need of new flannel, the Flea Market will hook you up. Table after table offers up everything from antique cameras to vintage sunglasses to customized weaponry. You'll also learn a thing or two about how to haggle by watching the pros work for a bargain in a supremely entertaining fashion. A 10 minute cab ride from VoxCon. More info: HKFM.
